A replacement rear extension within the Green Belt and Conservation Area.

This property suffered from the typical issues faced with an open conservatory connecting into the house - the spaces were unusable both in the winter and summer due to overheating and heat loss issues. This affected not only the conservatory but the interior of the house.

A single storey vaulted extension was proposed to replace the conservatory and connect into an existing rear projection, to create a new family open plan space within the house that could be used all year round in comfort. Crittall style aluminium glazing allows the space to still connect with the garden, with improved thermal efficiency, and the vaulted ceiling provides an elevated feature to the room.

Due to the property being located in both the Green Belt and a Conservation Area we worked closely with the Council and submitted a series of applications to secure the additional area approval required for the proposals.
