Painted House

The clients approached Fineline to add character and prestige to their existing house which did not have the kerb appeal or interior style that they were looking for.

The clients purchased this property for the size and location of the house, with amazing views over the valley. Red brickwork and upvc windows did not match the status of the property and a full exterior overhaul is proposed. The existing brickwork is to be painted and all glazing is to be replaced. A pair of balconies are proposed at first floor level to not only optimise the view at first floor and provide a covered seating area at ground floor, but also to add to the symmetry of the house. Four traditional lead dormers are proposed to the existing second floor to further take advantage of the long views. A new porch and entrance create a new entrance approach to the house.

Fineline have created a full interior specification for the property internally with a countryside cosy feel but with contemporary details. A dark green shaker kitchen with brass details is located to the rear of the house facing south, with a feature of exposed ceiling joists. Softer neutral tones throughout complement the bolder kitchen colour with a limestone floor.
