At Fineline Architects we start every project with a Feasibility Study.
During this first stage of works we have detailed conversations with our clients as to their ideal outcome and brief for the project, alongside their preferred budget range. This is carried out within an initial Discovery Meeting.
At the second meeting, a series of layouts with mood boards are presented to the clients to discuss and establish a clear path for the project to meet their brief and budget.
Alongside the layouts, all key project considerations to be aware of from planning constraints to sustainability requirements are set out so the process is started from an informed position.
This exercise assists not only in refining the brief but can clarify the priorities for the build from a very early stage. The variations of layouts allow clients to select aspects from different options to develop their preferred design to take forwards to the next stage.
Once the preferred layout has been confirmed, then the project can move forwards to the next stage of Outline Design. The Feasibility Drawings are developed further in conjunction with the elevation design and 3D modelling to create a full set ready to submit to Planning.
